March 18th, 2022 - 404 Mirror Redirects

It may happen that branded links shared by you or your teammates have been deleted after some time. It's also possible that one of the links has been shared with a typo. In the case where one of the branded links doesn't really exist, it will lead to a "page-does-not-exist" error page. Technically known as 404 page.

With Rebrandly (only available with some paid plans) you can decide to redirect any 404 requests to a specific Page/URL.

With today's innovation, the destination URL can be dynamic. It means that the destination will be composed of a new target domain name and the same URL path as the branded link. Read more

October 15th, 2021 - Shortcodes (or short numbers) in destination URLs

Short codes, also known as or short numbers (5 digits) are now supported by Rebrandly as destination URLs. This feature is available for free inside the SMS builder. 

But, what is a shortcode number? Shortcodes, or short numbers, are short digit sequences, significantly shorter than telephone numbers, that are used to address messages in the Multimedia Messaging System (MMS) and short message service (SMS) systems of mobile network operators. Did you know that similarly to pressing the ‘R’ key on the main view of the dashboard, pasting (Ctrl + v on Windows or  Cmd + v on Mac) will open the new link creation modal form, containing the destination URL parsed from the clipboard (but only if the destination is parsed as correct URL).

September 10th, 2021 - Link expiration extended to PRO plans

Too many branded links in your Rebrandy account? Should you pay for all links or delete the ones that are no longer needed? With link expiration, you can decide when a link will be deleted. Link expiration is decided at the workspace level and works for all the links in that workspace that are created after you change the settings. Read more. Now, this feature is also available for PRO plans. You will be able to expire links after 90 days or more. If you need to expire links with before the 90 day window, then you need to contact our sales team and upgrade your account. Go to the pricing page.

May 11th, 2021 - Bulk link import now has superpowers!

With this new version of the link import, you will be able to import links at a much faster pace. For each import file, you can include up to 400,000 links and, if you are on the extended workspace, the import will be ultra-fast! But that's not all: after the import has been initiated you will get a detailed report of all your imports in the last 30 days. This will confirm that all your links have been imported correctly. October 1st, 2020 - Unicode (UTF-8) characters in the SlashTag

Specifically, when you create a new link or edit an existing one you can modify the slash tag. In this field, Rebrandly now accepts many of the Unicode (UTF-8) characters and symbols. If a character is not accepted you will be immediately notified with a message on the dashboard. 

It is important to note that not all systems accept URLs containing not standard (A-Z) characters. Some platforms may also truncate the link and make it impossible to navigate. This could be the case for SMS and some social networks like Twitter.  If you are willing to use branded links that include special characters or symbols we strongly recommend to test it on the platform you need to use it before you share it at scale.

Knowing which link is performing the best in a specific timeframe is paramount!
This is why our team of designer and engineers just created the new "Trending Links" report.

With this report, you will be able to select a specific workspace (including extended ones) and get:
- (A) the list of the links clicked in a specific timeframe 
- (B) the number of links clicked in that timeframe
- (C) available timeframes: Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days
- (D) the possibility to export the full report in CSV format

August 21st, 2020 - QR Code Template

QR Codes are becoming more and more important in connecting the Offline World with the Online. It is probably the fastest way to access online content from an offline source by using your mobile smartphone. At Rebrandly we care a lot about connecting people with the best possible user experience. For this reason, Rebrandly is now providing the option to customise your QR Codes for free. 

For any Rebrandly account that has at least one domain name connected you will be able (from the domain list section) to personalize the QR codes associated with that domain name. The ALIAS domain feature + the Repair-broken-links feature combined will enable you to manage and optimize any page-not-found (404) route on your main site. Broken links happen! Maybe someone shared your link with a typo or the link was deleted by mistake. Every time a link is broken it means that some traffic is lost. So how do you know which branded link is broken and how much traffic is wasted?

With this new feature, Rebrandly allows you to monitor all your branded domain names, find out which link is broken and how important it is in terms of traffic.

We monitor human clicks over the last 30 days. Once you discover which links are broken you may want to repair them, ...no problem, just click on the edit icon and you will be instantly able to repair the link by pointing it to the right destination.

Rebrandly routing features for branded links have always been one of our strengths. Just a few link management tools let you route traffic on your URLs based on the geolocation, language, time etc... of the person who clicks. Even fewer tools provide this service in a reliable way. Link Expiration 
We've built a new link expiration feature that lets you set a custom expiry date on links at a workspace level. From now on, you can easily avoid reaching your account limit or being charged an over-quota fee for any links created outside of your plan volumes by keeping your workspaces free of links you no longer need. Link expiration is a paid feature and not available in all subscriptions, to learn more get in touch with our team.
