How do I cancel my domain renewal?

When you buy a domain through Rebrandly, it renews automatically each year. Auto-renewal is enabled by default to prevent domain expiration and ensure uninterrupted service for your branded links. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time.

A few things to be aware of:

  • The domain renewal date is based on when you purchased the domain, and it can be different from your account renewal date.

  • We bill domain renewals 2 months before the domain renewal date. If you plan to cancel, it's best to do it before then.

When you cancel your subscription to a domain from Rebrandly:

  • Your access to the domain will be revoked after the billing cycle ends.

  • Links using this domain will stop working once the domain is detached from your account and the DNS is updated.

The renewal price for domains may differ from the initial purchase price, as promotional first-year pricing often applies. The standard renewal rate is displayed at checkout, and Rebrandly sends reminder emails about upcoming renewals to keep you informed.

To cancel domain auto-renewal

  1. Select Domains from the navigation menu.

  2. To the right of the domain, select the gear icon.

  3. Select Configuration.

  4. Select Autorenew.

  5. Select Turn off autorenew for this domain.

That will turn off your automatic billing at the renewal date. We'll send you an email prior to your domain's expiration date in case you decide to renew it.
