When you have a branded domain from outside of Rebrandly, you will need to configure its DNS records to point to Rebrandly's IP address.
Do not change settings for a domain you're using for a live website. This domain should only be used for creating branded links.
We recommend reviewing your registrar's support documentation on editing DNS records before you begin. The location of the DNS settings varies by provider, and some even offer templates to simplify setup.
To set up the DNS:
Log into your domain registrar account.
Navigate to the settings for managing DNS entries.
Delete existing A records, if any.
Add the two new A records below for the root domain name.
Save your changes.
A record addresses for Rebrandly:
Record type | Hostname (or name) | Points to (or address) |
A | Leave empty or @ | 52.72.49.79 |
A | www | 52.72.49.79 |
You can now add the domain to Rebrandly, if you haven't already.
