What you can customize

  • Logo or image: Upload your logo or image and position it within the QR code. A logo appears only when the error correction level is H. If you choose a lower level, the logo option is hidden, and it returns when you set the level back to H.

  • Colors: Choose from a wide range of colors to match your brand’s color scheme, or enter custom color codes.

  • Size: Generate QR codes in various sizes to fit any promotional material or digital platform.

  • Error correction level: Use the Error correction level selector to choose how much of the code can be covered or damaged and still scan: L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%), or H (30%). Higher levels survive more damage. Lower levels produce a less dense code, which stays legible at small sizes and on rough surfaces like packaging or engraved metal. H is the default, so existing QR codes don’t change unless you select a different level.

Where you can customize

You can customize a QR code for a single link or for an entire domain. For step-by-step instructions, see How do I customize my QR codes? and How do I create and customize a QR Code?

Link level

  • The link creator or team administrators can customize and download the QR code, but cannot save the changes.

  • Only the domain owner can save QR code customizations. Saved customizations apply to all links generated with that domain.

Domain level

  • Only the domain owner can customize QR codes at the domain level.

  • The customization applies to all links under that domain.

Customization doesn’t change where your QR code leads

Changing a QR code’s size, color, logo, or other visual elements doesn’t alter its underlying link. The QR code always directs people to the same original URL when scanned.

The visual presentation of a QR code is independent of the link information it encodes, so you can adjust its look freely without affecting where it leads.
