How does Rebrandly handle reports of harmful and abusive short links?

Updated yesterday

When someone contacts us to report a harmful or abusive short link for phishing attempts, spam, malicious content, or other violations of our Terms of Use, this is what we do:

  1. Quickly investigate the reported link to determine whether it violates our Terms of Use. We do this to ensure safe links remain functional before we take action.

  2. Immediately suspend the link to prevent further access or misuse. After this, anyone clicking the link will be redirected to a 404 error page so that they are not exposed to the original destination.

  3. Suspend the Rebrandly account of any user creating these links in our system. This ensures that repeat offenses do not occur and protects our platform's overall trust and security.

If you suspect a link might be harmful or abusive, you can report it directly to Rebrandly through our chatbot or the Rebrandly Link Checker. Your alertness helps foster a safe and trusted link management platform for everyone.
