How do I create Rebrandly reports with Ask AI?

Ask AI tips and prompts to build Rebrandly reports

Ask AI is rolling out gradually, and workspace owners and admins can turn it off, so you might not see it in your account yet.

Ask AI can answer most of the questions you have about your links and click data. When data isn't available through Ask AI, you can export data, too.

Tips for crafting a good prompt

The more details you give Ask AI, the more likely you are to get the data you need. These are some tips for getting specific information.

  • Ask for human clicks. Asking for "all clicks" will result in data that includes bots.

  • Name a date range. If you don't, Ask AI uses the last 30 days.

  • Ask for percentages. Ask AI returns counts unless you specifically ask for percentages.

  • Name a workspace in your prompt. This focuses results on one workspace.

Reports and their prompts

These are common reports and the prompts you can use to generate them.

When to use exports

Use exports to get link data for these report types.

  • By tags and By teammates: Ask AI can't break clicks down by tag or by teammate.

  • QR scans: Ask AI doesn't report QR scans separately.

  • New vs Returning Sessions Over Time and Datacenter/ISP Analysis: Ask AI doesn't have this data. Exports doesn't either.

Ask AI can approximate these reports, but the results differ from the reports you used to see in Rebrandly:

  • Top devices: Ask AI separates mobile from desktop. It doesn't separate tablets from smartphones.

  • Top sources: Ask AI groups traffic as direct, social, or referral. It doesn't have an Organic Search group.

  • Top social media platforms: Ask AI shows the referring domain for social clicks, such as linkedin.com, instead of the platform name.

  • Top days and Most popular hours: Ask AI can't return the day of the week or the hour of the day directly. It returns clicks by day or by hour instead.

  • Query Parameter Analysis: Ask AI covers UTM source, medium, and campaign. It doesn't cover other query parameters.

  • Maps and donut charts: Ask AI shows results as tables, bar charts, and line charts.
