Your Right to Data Control under GDPR
Rebrandly respects your right to manage your personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you're an EU citizen or your company operates in the EU, you can request the anonymization of your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within our platform. This includes details like your email address and billing data.
Important to Understand:
- Once your data is anonymized, you will no longer be able to use your Rebrandly account. Your account will be suspended, and access to your links, dashboard, and other features will be lost.
- This is a permanent action.
How to Request Account Data Anonymization:
- Send an email to support[at]rebrandly[.]com with the subject line "GDPR Account Data Anonymization."
- Crucially, the email must be sent from the same email address associated with your Rebrandly account that you want to anonymize.
Domain Name WHOIS Data Anonymization:
- Rebrandly offers a privacy shield by default for domain names registered through their managed service. This means your information is already hidden from public WHOIS databases.
If you wish to further anonymize your domain name data registered through Rebrandly, you can send an email to support[at]rebrandly[.]com with the subject line "GDPR domain name data anonymization." - Remember: the email must originate from the WHOIS data email address associated with the domain you want to anonymize.
- Please note: This anonymization only applies to domains registered through Rebrandly's Managed service, not external domains or DNS setups. Once anonymized, the domain cannot be renewed, and auto-renewal will be disabled. You won't be able to recover the domain or linked information.
