How Does Click Tracking Over Quota Work?

Rebrandly tracks the clicks on your links each month to provide you with click statistics. If your account hits the click tracking threshold, here's what happens:

Regardless of your subscription level, we'll reach out via email if/when you hit your click limit for the month. 

Free subscriptions: Free plans track up to 5,000 clicks per month. After you reach the click limit we will stop tracking any additional clicks until the next month. 

Paid subscriptions: Premium plans have differing click thresholds. If you hit your click limit, we'll automatically bill you for additional clicks according to the over-quota pricing for your subscription.

If you're worried that your click traffic will cause you to incur significant over quota fees and would like to avoid the additional billing you've got a couple of options. 

  1. Trash high traffic links. By trashing the links that receive the most click traffic you can temporarily "pause" them and then restore them in your next billing cycle when your click-tracking thresholds have reset. Note that while a link is trashed the redirect will not function. In this case, you should make sure you have our custom 404-redirect feature active to ensure users are still directed back to a relevant page.

  2. Contact us to halt the over-quota click tracking on your account. If you choose this option we will stop tracking the clicks on your account past the plan threshold, and you will not have the option to pay for additional clicks.

    To enable over-quota tracking again, you must contact us and ask for us to reset over-quota pricing, we will not reset it by default.
