Your Instagram profile's bio link is the only place where you can share a link with your followers aside from Stories. Instagram removed clickable hyperlinks in comments and photos back in 2012. Although Instagram now allows up to five links in your bio, the links have to be manually updated if you want to share new content. That means you have to change out your Instagram link every time.
If you’re creating new content consistently, the process of changing out the links in your bio can be annoying and time-consuming as it means creating a new short link and changing out the links accordingly every time.
With Rebrandly, you can easily avoid this with a single link pointing to your latest blog post, or most recent YouTube video. The short link won't ever need to change, and you can simply edit the destination URL in Rebrandly. You'll still have to change out one link, but you won't have to create a new short link every time, and you will have all of your stats in one place.
In this guide, we show you how to get your Instagram link and how to brand it using Rebrandly.
Here's How it Works:
Create a "Master Link" for Instagram
- Go to your latest blog post and copy the URL.
- Go to Rebrandly and click on “Create a new link.”
- Paste the URL into the URL field.
- Choose your domain from the drop-down list.
- Enter the URL slug you want to include in your short link.
- Click on “Save” and you’ll have your very own branded Instagram link to share in your bio.
Since Instagram limits your bio space, you can actually use the short link to double as your call to action and save the space in the bio for more information on you or your business. So, for example, if you want people to read your latest blog post, your short link can be something to the effect of “mybrand.link/Latest-Blog-Post.”

Save time managing your Instagram link
Now that you’ve learned how to get your Instagram link on Rebrandly, you never have to change a link in Instagram again, simply log into your Rebrandly dashboard and swap out the old blog post for the new. You will be able to track all of your Instagram bio clicks through one link.
Bonus: UTM Parameter Tracking
It's helpful to add UTM parameters to a link such as this one so that you can evaluate how much traffic you’re getting through your Instagram link. Simply go to the Google UTM Builder and input your URL, source, medium, and campaign fields. We highly recommend adding UTM tracking to all social links, especially bio links.

Hello, this is exactly what I was looking for. Is the changing of destination URL considered as new branded link? So if I would use free Rebrandly plan then I am able to change destination URL only 1000 times then? Thank you
Hi Petr,
The changing of the destination is not considered a new branded link. If you have one link, say petr.rocks/Instagram, you can change the destination URL of that link as often as you need.
