A 404 error will occur if a link you share is mistyped or has an invalid destination. For each domain name in your Rebrandly account, you can redirect 404 requests to a custom URL of your choice.
We recommend setting up this redirect right after you add your domain.
To set up your 404 redirect:
Log in to Rebrandly.
Click Domains.
Click on a domain.
Under Custom 404 redirection click one of the options:
Static URL to direct errors to a specific web page.
Mirror to target domain to attempt a match to a similar link. (This option will prevent redirected traffic from appearing in the broken links report.)
Enter the URL for the page or domain that you would like to redirect to. These are the differences between the two domains you can enter:
With the Static URL, users are redirected to the exact URL you enter.
With the Mirror option, users are redirected to a dynamic destination that is composed of the domain you enter, with the back half/path from the broken branded link on the end.
Click Save.
If you encounter an error, the URL you entered may not support domain redirects, and you'll need to use different one.
